GCSL offers a variety of programs designed to provide a safe, fun, and positive soccer experience for girls and boys ages 3-18, regardless of skill level.
The primary mission of GCSL is to offer our spring and fall recreational soccer league. The spring and fall soccer seasons are open to both boys and girls ages 3-18. To see what age group your child is eligible for this season, check the ages page on the GCSL site.
Our recreational soccer programs are open to players of all levels, and there are never tryouts for the recreational teams. Players are required to play at least 50% of every game to ensure all players get their fair share of playing time.
For experienced players who seek a higher challenge, GCSL offers competitive soccer through our Club teams, Southern Tennessee United Soccer Club (STUN S.C.) The GCSL 3v3 Summer Challenge features 3v3 tournament play for teams starting at U8 to Adult. The 3v3 format features small-sided play on smaller fields, offering a fun, new challenge to many players. 3v3 allows players the opportunity for increased touches on the ball, 1v1 situations, increased opportunities to make decisions, and constant transition from attack to defense. In addition to being a fun new way to play, 3v3 is also an excellent way for players to learn and hone skills that translate to the full-sided game.
The Bobcat Bash in Memory of Riley Jenkins, held in partnership with the Giles County High School Lady Bobcats, is Giles County's first and oldest indoor futsal tournament. Futsal offers small-sided, indoor games for teams starting at U8 through U18. Futsal offers players a new and unique challenge, and an opportunity to showcase their technical skills in a competitive tournament.
