Chris Leonardi just finished his sixth season as the MMC head men’s soccer coach with a 61-43-9 record. In 2019, the RedHawks were back in the NAIA national tournament where they defeated previously undefeated Houston Victoria in the first round prior to losing to the eventual national champion, Central Methodist University in the following round.
In 2013, Leonardi was the assistant at MMC where he helped lead the RedHawks to a record-breaking 19-2-2 season that culminated in the program’s first-ever NAIA men’s national championship in school history. Hailing from Nice, France, Leonardi moved to the United States at the age of 16 to attend high school in Jackson, Tennessee. He currently resides in Pulaski, TN, and has a daughter named Lola.
Established in 1978 by a collection of parents and their children's love for the game of soccer, sixteen players started their Saturday's with small-sided games on the grounds of the Pulaski Recreation Center, while the majority of their seasons consisted of trips to Columbia, TN to compete in full-sided (11v11) matches against greater competition.
Since, the Giles County Soccer League (GCSL) has grown to support over 300 children in each of the Fall and Spring seasons, while including many indoor futsal tournaments for anyone that wishes to continue their passion for the game throughout the winter months.
GCSL strives to provide a positive and safe environment to the youth of Giles County.
